I used two circle dies from Lifestyle Crafts to cut one circle outline and one of the larger dies to make the kraft circle piece.
The "happy" die is a Simon Says Stamp exclusive and I'm loving it! I cut it twice, once from some watercolored paper done with disress inks and once from a brown paint chip. Then I layered them together slightly offset for more dimension and contrast. They hang off the edge of the kraft piece which I put on foam tape.
I used the negative image from the "happy" die on another card I'll post later.
I also used some white Wendy Vecchi embossing paste and a stencil from Crafters Companion that I've had for years from my scrapbooking days and never used. I put it at an angle, continuing the design of the curves going off the kraft piece.
The "for you" is from the "happy" stamp set that is also an exclusive from Simon Says Stamp and coordinates with the die. The die and stamp set were created by my crafting guru Kristina Werner. Love her style!
I used another sketch (#1) from Hero Arts' monthly challenge as my starting point. I adapted it to use the circle pieces instead of the vertical lines and the two pieces of the sentiment as the sentiment and surrounding accents that were in the sketch. Here's the link for comparison and if you want to take the challenge yourself : Hero Arts Monthly Sketch Challenge
Here's the finished card. Still clean lines. I was thinking baby when I made it but it really would work for any congratulations event for a couple.
